a friend whacked me that i was being too cryptic.  you have heard of
LLMs; i am a notorious SLM.

that file is in the primary zone directly put there by ods-signer after
signing.  bind can not read it because of the restrictive perms.

the files in the directory from which the signer takes and then signs
are all 644 randy:staff, e.g.
