You also have the commands:

/opt/nfast/bin/nfkmcheck

/opt/nfast/bin/ckcheckinst
and
/opt/nfast/bin/enquiry

which tell you a whole bunch of stuff about your connection to the HSM.
The way the thales kit works the client talks to a local server
(/opt/nfast/sbin/hardserver).
