The Signer Engine is now so fast that we are reaching the limit of what you can get from a single threaded application:

[STATS] se RR[count=2167209 time=52(sec)) NSEC[count=926590 time=8(sec)] RRSIG[new=930497 reused=0 time=406(sec) avg=2291(sig/sec)] TOTAL[time=501(sec)]

The Sun SCA600 is limited to around 2500 sig/sec with the ods-hsmspeed and one thread.
