[Opendnssec-develop] Jenkins build status emails

I think it's great that we have a new automated build and test system.

However, if I could offer one suggestion for a better user experience, it would be to tune the emails that are sent in the event of a broken build.

AIUI, the standard practice for this sort of thing is to send the "failed" email _only_ to those who have made a commit to the relevant source repository since the last successful build (and, of course, those who specifically request to receive all build emails).

Would it be possible to make this change, please?

Sure, we'll set up a separate list for Jenkins build mails. Sion, can you fix?

That isn't quite what I meant.

Most of the automated build/test systems I've used over the last 10 years have had the capability to email only those who have made a commit since the last successful build. It doesn't make much sense to email _everybody_ (even those who have had nothing to do with the reasons the build broke since it last succeeded) - this leads to a situation where people tend to ignore all the build emails. Which kind of defeats the point of having them...

I note that this is possible from the following page :

https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Email-ext+plugin

Thanks,

Alex.

Just to point out, I asked about this some time ago just because I knew it would be a bit spammy :) People was happy with commit list.
