On the topic of 'Can we release OpenDNSSEC 1.4.0', you noted:
Agreed that the next release should be alpha 2 rather than a
beta. Reasons were that quite a lot of functionality has
changed since the alpha 1 and there are still some open issues
that should be fixed for a beta. Also the enforcer patch may be
pushed to 1.4.
There has not been a lot of functionality changes since the alpha 1.
In That is why we argued if we could do a beta 1 release.
Nevertheless, the enforcer patch may be pushed to 1.4 and that's the
reason why we decided on an alpha 2 release rather than a beta, since
that is considered new functionality.
At least that is how I interpreted it.
