There are two sorts of checks that could be done:

1) does the xml validate against the rng schema
2) does the xml make sense (e.g. are options consistent)

(1) is straightforward
(2) will depend on the adapter in question

The new code is in enforcer/utils/kaspcheck.c and 
enforcer/utils/kc_helper.c if anyone wants to add to it.
