#245: Signer daemon keeps running after signing large zone
--------------------------------+-------------------------------------------
Reporter: Nick van den Heuvel | Owner: rb
    Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: major | Component: Unknown
 Version: 1.3.0 | Resolution:
Keywords: 1.3.0rc2 |
--------------------------------+-------------------------------------------

Comment (by rb):

The Signer Engine will not lower its memory usage after the signing has
been done. This is because all of the signatures are kept in memory.

The Enforcer will not stop the Signer Engine. They act as two separate
daemons that will run until they are stopped. '''sudo ods-control stop'''
will call '''sudo ods-ksmutil stop''' and '''sudo ods-signer stop'''.

Are you running the latest SoftHSM? SoftHSM 1.2.1 will increase the
performance. Or maybe 565 signatures per seconds is the maximum on your
 machine.

It sound like the problem is that the Enforcer does not stop.
