hi,

I've been doing some licensing cleanups and will continue tomorrow  
with some cleanup of the automake files, add common scripts for  
updating automake etc. personal build scripts that might disappear,  
but you can always resurrect them from the repo if you want a local  
copy.

if you find me intrusive, let me know and I'll might back off :-)
